Kilifi is a very secure and safe harbour. It is situated on a natural creek, providing an exceptional safe and sheltered mooring. Kilifi is outside the cyclone area and far away from any pirate activity near the Somali coast.
Rene's experience in the world of boats is far and wide. Rene is a Dutch national with a long international experience. He speaks fluently Dutch, English and French and has a working knowledge of German.
Every year yachts come from Mayotte and Madagascar to spend the cyclone season in the safety of Kilifi Creek. Kilifi is close to Mombasa , with an international airport with daily connecting flights to Europe . It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes by taxi to get to the airport.
Kilifi Boatyard is situated about three quarter of a mile inland on Kilifi Creek. Between the Boatyard and open water are a bridge and electric power lines. Maximum clearance under the cable and under the bridge is 72 feet at low water spring.Click for more.....
